Peter Obi Deepens Healthcare Support With Fresh N10m Donation To Nsukka Nursing School

Former Anambra State Governor and Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has donated an additional N10 million to the School of Nursing, Nsukka, as part of his continued support for the institution.

Obi visited the institution on Friday, where he reiterated his commitment to supporting institutions advancing healthcare and education in Nigeria.

According to a statement, Obi has consistently supported the School of Nursing, Nsukka, with more than N150 million in various tranches since its inception. The latest N10 million donation brings his continued intervention in the institution to a new level.

Obi has maintained that investments in healthcare, education and initiatives aimed at lifting people out of poverty are among the surest ways to build a better society.

The visit to Nsukka formed part of a 48-hour tour during which Obi visited communities and institutions across Edo, Enugu and Benue states.

Within the period, he visited Benin City in Edo State; Parklane in Enugu State; Otukpa and Otukpo in Benue State; and the School of Nursing in Nsukka.

The visits, according to the statement, provided an opportunity to see firsthand the realities facing Nigerians and support institutions and communities considered to be in need of assistance.

Obi said his commitment to supporting critical sectors remains unwavering, particularly in areas capable of improving the quality of life of Nigerians and creating opportunities for a better future.
