Volunteer Youth Network Declares Support For Makinde’s Omititun 3.0, Adekanmbi Ahead Of 2027

It was a gathering of energy and commitment on Friday as members of the Volunteer Youth Network paid a courtesy visit to Amb. Kazeem Bolarinwa, Director General of Youth Mobilization for Omituntun 3.0, at the campaign office in Ibadan.

The youths, who turned out in large numbers, expressed their enthusiasm and commitment to supporting Governor Seyi Makinde and Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi ahead of the 2027 presidential and gubernatorial elections.

Speaking during the meeting, the APM Volunteer Youth Network Coordinator, Hon. Adelabu Tunde, said the visit was aimed at formally aligning the network with the Omituntun 3.0 agenda and pledging its loyalty to the leadership of Governor Makinde and Hon. Adekanmbi.

“We are here today to declare our total support for Governor Seyi Makinde and Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi. We have come with unwavering commitment and energy. Our job is to take the message of Omituntun 3.0 to every corner of Oyo State and ensure that young people are sensitised, organised, and mobilised for 2027,” Adelabu said.

He disclosed that the Volunteer Youth Network has established structures across the 33 local government areas and major tertiary institutions in the state.

According to him, the group is committed to sustaining what it described as the developmental strides of the Makinde administration, particularly in youth empowerment, education, healthcare, and job creation.

Adelabu also commended Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi for providing strategic direction for youth structures across the state, describing him as “a leader who understands the power of young people in nation-building.”

Responding, Amb. Kazeem Bolarinwa appreciated the network for its dedication and early commencement of grassroots mobilisation.

He urged the members to remain peaceful, united, and strategic in their engagements, stressing that the Omituntun 3.0 agenda is youth-focused and open to partnerships with credible youth organisations.

“The government of Governor Seyi Makinde recognises the role of young people as the engine room of development. We will continue to work with groups like yours that are committed to peace, development, and good governance. Go to the wards, go to the campuses, and let the people know that Omituntun 3.0 is about continuity and progress,” Bolarinwa said.

He assured the group of the Directorate of Youth Mobilization’s support in coordination, orientation, and logistics as they commence their statewide campaign ahead of the 2027 elections.
