The Oyo State Government, through the Ministry of Establishments and Training, has conducted the 2026 mandatory confirmation examination for officers on Grade Levels 1 to 6, with more than 4,500 candidates participating across the state.

The examination, held on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, commenced at 9:00 a.m. and took place simultaneously at seven designated zonal centres across the state.

Participants comprised officers in various junior cadres, including Clerical Officers, Clerical Assistants, Store Attendants and other allied positions.

The mandatory examination is a requirement for officers appointed to junior cadres, who are expected to pass the test within two years of their appointment to qualify for confirmation of their employment.

Addressing candidates at the Simeon Adebo Staff Development Centre, which served as the examination centre for Ibadan Zones 1 and 2, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Alhaji Hameed Alade Bello, urged the candidates to remain patient while awaiting their respective batches.

Bello assured the participants that all eligible officers would be given the opportunity to sit for the examination, urging them to put in their best and pass the test, which he described as a window for further career development.

The examination covered subjects such as Public Service Rules I and II, as well as Current Affairs.

The results will be released and communicated to the candidates through their respective Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) after the completion of the grading process.
