Egbeda LG Chairman Commends Governor Seyi Makinde Over Acquisition Of Security Aircraft

The Executive Chairman of Egbeda Local Government, Hon. Sanda Sikiru Oyedele, has commended the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, FNSE, for the strategic acquisition and deployment of aircraft to strengthen the state’s security architecture.

Hon. Oyedele described the initiative as a bold, visionary, and timely intervention that underscores Governor Makinde’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property across Oyo State. He noted that the deployment of the aerial security assets will significantly enhance surveillance, intelligence gathering, and rapid response to security threats while complementing the operations of security agencies across the state.

According to the Chairman, the acquisition reflects the Governor’s proactive leadership and determination to ensure that Oyo State remains one of the safest and most peaceful states in Nigeria for residents, investors, and visitors.

He further emphasized that strengthening the state’s security infrastructure is critical to sustainable economic growth, agricultural development, and infrastructural expansion. He described the acquisition of the aircraft as a major milestone that will contribute significantly to achieving these developmental objectives.

Hon. Oyedele also called on the people of Egbeda Local Government and Oyo State at large to continue supporting the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde by cooperating with security agencies and providing timely, accurate, and credible information to aid efforts at combating crime and maintaining peace.

He reaffirmed the commitment of the Egbeda Local Government Administration to complement the state’s security initiatives through grassroots engagement, community policing efforts, and sustained collaboration with relevant security agencies in the collective pursuit of a safer and more secure Oyo State.
