RCCG Ordains 2,820 Full Pastors, 11,830 Deacons, 5,977 Assistant Pastors At 74th Convention

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has ordained 2,820 candidates as full pastors, alongside 11,830 deacons and deaconesses and 5,977 assistant pastors, as the church concluded its 74th Annual Convention.

The figures were disclosed by the church’s Holy Ghost Service account on Instagram during the convention held at Redemption City, Mowe, Ogun State.

According to the RCCG, 2,820 candidates were ordained into the office of full pastor, which it described as the highest pastoral office in the church. The church noted that its General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, is also a full pastor.

The church had earlier announced the ordination of 11,830 deacons and deaconesses and 5,977 assistant pastors during the convention.

The ordinations formed part of the activities of the week-long convention, which began on August 3 and ended on August 9, 2026, with the theme “Mountain Movers.”

The convention featured worship sessions, Bible studies, prayer meetings, seminars, Holy Ghost Service, Holy Communion and Anointing Service, baptisms, ordination ceremonies and a final thanksgiving service.

Adeboye led several sessions alongside senior ministers and his wife, Pastor Folu Adeboye.

The church also announced that at least 88 babies were born at Redemption City during the convention, comprising 52 boys and 36 girls.

The 2026 convention ended with a thanksgiving service, bringing to a close a week of worship, prayers, teachings, testimonies, ordinations and other spiritual activities.
