Rain Of Babies At RCCG Convention As Adeboye Announces 29 Births In Two Days
The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has announced the birth of 29 babies within the first two days of its 2026 Annual Convention at Redemption City, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The announcement was made on Tuesday night by the General Overseer of RCCG, Enoch Adeboye, during the evening session of the convention, drawing loud applause from thousands of worshippers.
According to Pastor Adeboye, the babies were born between Monday, August 3, when the convention commenced, and 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The newborns comprise 15 boys and 14 girls.
“The Lord is moving mightily among us,” the 83-year-old cleric told the congregation, who responded with praise and thanksgiving.
The 2026 RCCG Annual Convention, themed “Mountain Movers,” began on Monday, August 3, and will conclude on Sunday, August 9. The week-long event has attracted millions of worshippers from across Nigeria and the diaspora for worship, prayer, Bible teachings, deliverance services, and other spiritual activities.
Widely regarded as one of the world’s largest Christian gatherings, the annual convention has become known not only for its massive attendance but also for the number of births recorded during the programme. Many expectant mothers who attend the convention often go into labour on the campgrounds, where the church provides medical care through its hospital and healthcare facilities within Redemption City.
For many participants, the announcement of newborn babies has become one of the convention’s defining moments, symbolising God’s blessings and the gift of new life.
Medical personnel remain on standby throughout the convention to ensure safe deliveries and provide care for mothers and their babies.
With several days of the programme still ahead, church officials expect more births as activities continue under the “Mountain Movers” theme, which also features guest ministers, night vigils, and special sessions on faith, family, and national renewal.
